Today Keith and I went to Nashville to help our dear friends Ellen and Al celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Most of you know her as Elena here on DG.
Let's give her and her DH a big 'Congradulations!" from everyone here at DG.
Here's a pic of me and Ellen that we had taken together today...it was the only one,as I was the one behind the camera for the rest of the party. We had a bunch of goodies to eat and lots of great music and singing. I'm so glad that we got to go.I wouldn't have missed it for the world!

Congratulations to you, Ellen and Al. Donna, wishing you and hubby 36 more wonderful years together.
I missed this one.Congratulations Ellen and Al I know you had a wonderful day!
Congratulations Ellen and Al hope you have many more anniversarys together.
We had an absolutely perfect anniversary party, thanks partly to Mel and Keith. (Melody isn't one of my own children but I would adopt her if her mother would allow it. LOL!) That sweet Melody took pictures all day long and did her usual super job of it too. I treasure them all as she managed to capture very good images of everyone who attended plus do some very creative picture taking in such cramped quarters. My house is small and I still don't see how she managed to accomplish all that she did picture-wise. She is a treasure to have for a friend and I consider myself fortunate to be able to call her "friend". That sweet husband of hers played the guitar almost the entire time and his back was killing him the entire time. I didn't have a clue as he didn't say a word until it was time to put the guitar back in the case. I consider that loyalty above and beyond the call of duty. Anyone but Keith would have bowed out of playing and said that he just wasn't up to it. That and so many other things make us love them both so much and make them so thankful for their friendship.
Thanks to all of your for your sweet words of congratulations. The Lord has truly blessed us by giving us 50 years of a wonderful marriage. I can only wish the same for all of you lovebirds out there. Donna, congratulations to you on your 36th anniversary. You will be surprised but it will seem like only yesterday when you reach your 50th.
Busybee, I also hope to see my photo here when I reach my 75th. I doubt if I will recognize who I am by then though. LOL! Now maybe I can get busy trading plants with you. You have patiently waited for me to get through with my daughter's wedding and the anniversary celebration. Now it is time to get back to life as we know it here in Nashville and that means gardening and making good on my plant trades.
Happy 50! Guess I missed the date of the original post (for some reason I thought your anniversary was today, 28th).
What a trophy day for ya, eh? Fifty years is really something to be proud of in these days and times! Super duper big-time Congratulations to you both, many times over and over!
Thanks Shoe. We are just thankful and grateful that the Lord gave us this many happy years together. You are 100% correct. The real day is today. I can't imagine how you ever remembered that!!! You are awesome!!!! Looking forward to seeing you at Roundup. Get the "frogs out of your throat" 'cause we are gonna raise the rafters with our singin". Of course if we are outside there won't be any rafters to raise. Guess we can just scare off all the wildlife then. LOL!
Welp, you remember I can't sing! I'll howl along tho!
ahhh-rooooooooo ♫♫
Howling is good!!!! We will hold you to that. Just please howl on key or very quietly!
