Windsurffer's computer is down

She called me last night, her computer is down. Hopes to get it in the shop today, but until further news, she is OK, just temporarily off-line :(

She didn't ask me to post, but since I know a lot of her friends might worry at her absence, I wanted to give some reassurance.

My ISP is still pretty spotty, so I am often unable to get on myself. It seems to behave better in the early morning, but it still is very frustrating.

thank you for letting us know Lupy. I was wondering why I didn't hear anything from her, just figured she was busy. Knew she has been having problems with her computer but didn't expect this; it going completely down. Tell her hello for me.

Oh, no! It's so hard to be off-line. Hope you and Windsurffer -- and everyone with computer/ISP woes -- will get them straightened out soon. Thanks for letting us know.

Yeah, she and I have both been having ISP troubles this week, probably from all the virus/worms set loose. Her computer got left at the shop for repair yesterday -- she thinks her hard drive is going to have to be wiped, and it contains all this years photos :(

Oh no - not her photos!! Poor Kit - can't imagine being without this machine for too long. Tell her hi and hope it won't be too long before everything is up and running again!!

My ISP has been down!!!!!! Just able to sign on now! Yay!!!!!!

Windsurffer got her computer back this morning :) She is getting it re-installed now, and should be back on later today.

Well I think I'm back I think but not sure, guess I'll have to pinch myself....OUCH!!! Yes I'm back lol. I still have a lot of work to do yet but decided that I would just enjoy having it back. I have been without for 4 1/2 days and I thought I was going to lose what little mind I have left lol.
I have filled up one of my 64 MB photo cards and almost freaked out. I really didn't like the part of not being able to see my pictures as I take them, but it's up and runing again so I am happy about that.

Glad you're back on, Kit! Now do yourself a big favor and do a backup! :D I know that awful, sinking feeling of possibly losing beloved pictures all too well! Finally got an external hard drive and have been backing up to that.

We do have a back up discs but it seems to be in dos and I don't have a clue how to install them.

But if you have a CDRW drive, you can just back your photos up onto CD's in Windows, right?

That's what the OB did but he didn't check to see if it was in windows.
