Hotmail woes

With all the new viruses and worms going on this week, I can usually not access my e-mail.

So rather than spending hours trying to send a message through e-mail, I want to write a brief response to a few DG people here:

Kathleen, THANK YOU!!!!! I got the pollen, and used some and stored the rest. My newest creations will (hopefully) ripen this fall, and others will be made next spring :) I can't wait to actually meet you!!!!!!

Esther, I am going to be home all day today; please call when you want to come visit. I hope you have my phone number -- if not, we are in the book! My dad is Nicholas, number is in his name.

Jo, I have spent days and days trying to access the letter you wrote; I still can't get through. My ISP keeps losing connection both here at DG and to Hotmail. Just lost it again (drat!)

Ursula, I am sending the package to you today. Sorry about the delay, but I wanted to include a special item, and it took that long to find it.

Coco, can I please get your address from Wind? I haven't asked her yet, I won't without your permission. I don't have it.

After a weekend without being able to get on-line at all :( I still usually cannot access my Hotmail account. Site not found, you all know the story.

So if anyone is trying to get through to me, please bear with me! Post here. Thanks :)

Why not just email me through DG? I need an answer to my question...which I have now forgotten what I asked....LOL....No, I think it had to do with accomodations at round up. Jo

Why don't you set up a web-based one at Yahoo or another server to use as a backup, Kathy? We've had to rely on our backup accounts several times throughout the recovery from the hack done on my domain's server - came in mighty handy!

not sure what the problem would be. I have hotmail and I haven't had not one problem with it......knock on wood :)

I've not had trouble accessing Hotmail, either. It could be that Kathy's ISP has a corrupted DNS cache (that's what points you toward the actual numerical IP address for a website when you type in a URL in letter form).

I can access my Hotmail again!!!! Yippee!!!!!!

My problem has been (from what I can diagnose) that when my ISP could find the site (often it was disconnected), I was under contiual bombardment from other computers attempting to locate my Windows weaknesses. All my firewalls have kept me safe (so far) but with all the traffic, I kept losing contact with sites. DG finally started behaving on Monday afternoon, but couldn't get and stay connected with Hotmail until tonight!

LOTS of ISP problems that were deflected to "in home wiring problems" until they were up & running again. VERY annoying!!!! They had me checking all phone lines & keeping me busy until they had their own system back in place and running as expected. Wish they would be honest!
