Dave I was just viewing the PDB, while not logged in with my user name. When viewing a plant... you can't click on the genus names to bring up all the plants in the genus. I got this message ...

"You have accessed an area that is only available to those who are subscribers of Dave's Garden. If you are a subscriber at Dave's Garden, make sure you are logged in with your subscribed account and then proceed"

I thought the PDB was available to non-subscribers? Are they not able to use certain features of the PDB?

You know, it just dawned on me that I might never have formally announced that the PDB now had some advanced features that are only available to subscribers. This happened literally as a matter of necessity to cut down on the accesses to the CPU-intensive parts of the PDB. We discussed it at length in this thread:

Only the most advanced features are limited to subscribers. Non-subscribers can still get a tremendous benefit from the site.
