I finally got to meet another great member from DG, Frogsrus and her DD, Fiona. They came up Thursday and we had a nice full day of trading plants, talking, lunching, talking, dinner and some more talking. What a fun day we had. Fiona is a wonderful young lady and very much into gardening as well. In fact several of the plants I got were from her.
This was a new friendship being born and it will be nice to visit her gardens in the future.
Janice is the blonde. hehe
Donna
She hopped up for a visit
Hey....Great to "meet" all of you....Donna, now I will know who you are when we get to Round Up...(Bought my ticket yesterday!!) I know what you mean my a new friendship....after I met Farizona we have become very good friends....Jo
Cool! So we get to meet and see all of ya! Looks like ya'll hit it off right quick!
Sure is some nice-lookin' gardens there! (Lion's Ear in the background? First pic.)
Am sure ya'll had fun!
Well look at us!! We had a wonderful time! The gardens are beautiful. I came home with a van load of plants. 70 miles is just a jaunt in Ca so I am sure we will do it again soon.
It looks like you all had a good time. Is Fiona feeding the fish or petting them?
Zany, the answer is yes to both questions. She worked on those fish all day.
LOL I thought so! I have been trying to get my goldfish to come up and let me pet them. So far only one will even surface if I am close to the pond and DH laughs at me when I try to pet fish!
Zany, Were your ears ringing on Thurs. Janice and I mentioned your name and said we should take a road trip up to visit with you....hehe That would be a very long road trip for us. BTW, did I mention that we had a GOOD time!! My little Shitzu, Rags, was very sorry to see Fiona leave as she played with him all day and he loved every minute of it. Too bad she's not here now, as we are dog sitting for my DD's 2 Shitzu's this weekend and they are as much fun as mine is.
Shoe, you are quite correct about my Lions Ear. I can't believe how big it got this year. Last year it was only about 3 ft. tall.
Donna
Well lets see. My Dad lives in Napa. We could meet not quite in the middle and take a wine tour. From here to Fortuna is more that I would want to do in a day. There's an airport in Arcata though. Hmmmm. Northern Ca is really pretty in the spring. A plan could be made.
OR...I could convince DH we really need to make a trip south So I can Shop for pottery in TJ ! That way I could see everyone along the way...and come home with pots too :~)
Lordy mercy me...all ya'll fine folks out that way! Someone needs to put a bug in Roadrunner's ear about a RoundUp out that-a-way one day. (She'll see that it happens!)
(Somebody say Wine Tour?) τΏ☺
3 Gorgeous Gardeners with a Gorgeous Garden to boot!
So nice to meet all of you and your gardens are gorgeous! Can't wait to meet you NEXT MONTH! Can you believe it? It will be here before you know it!
Frogs, it is so nice to meet you! Especially after all the Chat difficulties Tuesday :) And you got to meet Donna in person before ME????? Such a lucky lady.
Wow great to meet ya both. Looks like ya had a great time.
