Is DG slow, or just my connection?

The last several days, DG seems to be opening slowly even with cable access. I'm on in the early evening now, but I've noticed it in the wee hours of 2am, too. Is it just me? I know some threads load more slowly than others, especially if they have many posts or lots of photos, but this seems across the board.

I have noticed a network slowdown the past couple days as well, most notably yesterday's snafu. The network was completely down (not my ISP but his upstream ISP in Atlanta) for a good 5 minutes (probably longer).

I don't know what's the cause of it. It could be the result of the recent Microsoft worm, or it could simply be an incompetent sysadmin in Atlanta. :)

So it's not just me...That's a GOOD thing. I've had intermittent outtages which resetting the cable modem and router seem to fix, but it's still slow. Bleah. There was news today of two hospitals in Columbus being hit with viruses. Bad news, that!

Yeah even here random Internet blackouts all over the place. Must be that pesky virus.

I couldn't access DG at all when I came home tonight, about 10:30 pm here in the west coast. I could reach other sites fine though. I tried again an hour or so later and got on just fine. Seems to be something going on somewhere!

DNS attacks, worms, viruses, spam, lions and tigers and bears, oh no....

My connection to DG has been slow the past few days, but not to other sites, so I assumed it was just DG. I sometimes wait 2-3 minutes for a page to open, and I'm on a cable modem like GW.

I've been having the same problems, also cable modem. But, it's not just DG. A few other sites have been having problems, too. Could it be the worm? I dunno. Something is up.

It also has been very slow for me and still is. I also have cabel modem but this is the only sight that is slow for me.
GW I tried all of that even had the cable company out here to make sure it wasn't on my end before I said anything here.

I had the same problem and couldn't get anything to load on DG at all last night, neither could TC and NoH2O. We're all on cable and everything else was loading fine. DG seems to be ok for me now though

Sometimes DG is a bit slow for me, but other times it loads normal speed. I have cable. Last night I couldn't get in for a while.
My friend works at our county courthouse. She'd gotten an email and sent it thru the whole courthouse, and sent it to me. When I tried to open it, McAfee said it had a virus. She said their system didn't catch it. She was so upset. They recently went from Unix to Microsoft, she said she didn't know there were so many viruses and worms out there!

It's slow getting here and once I am in DG and click on a post that I am watching it is slow but once I get in I can respond to the post then send it and click on Dave's Garden at the bottom of the post it gets real slow getting back to the other forums.

Has been slow for me also. I have cable access. Sometimes in the last few days, I can't get a thread to open and once I couldn't get into DG at all. Everything else was working fine. All seems to be okay today.
