Hi,

Richard, my DFIL, is recovering from kidney cancer surgery... and to encourage him, I posted in the prayer forum a spot where people could send him a message...
but not everyone visits the prayer forum, so here is a link to that thread.

He's doing well, getting stronger every day and he has been declared cancer free by the surgeon.

He's getting WONDERFUL care at Cleveland Clinic and is in good spirits! The encouragement of knowing so many people are praying for him will help him heal even faster.

We are taking it to him tomorrow morning... I'll let you know what he says, Susan. Thanks so much for taking time to write to him.

They've been kind of wanting to keep to themselves right now - as much as they wanted and needed my help I think they are tired of my presence now because I insist that they follow doctors' orders and irritating stuff like that, LOL!

We'll see them tomorrow - it's DH's 42nd birthday and they want to take him out to eat (yayy! saves heating up Mom's kitchen and all those dishes to wash).

I'll be sure and share with him what you wrote.

Susan,

he was touched by our letter but says he can't think of a hobby... LOL. Bless his heart he's doing great. We are thrilled. he had his staples removed today and felt so much better he wanted to take a side trip. Hurrah!

We are going to be out of town for the next week on vacation - we will have a house sitter but she won't be on DG so have a great week!
