old postings-help

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

One posting that I wish I could remember who started was one about poetry. We all joined in and wrote poems about each other here on Dave's. I had it saved in my favorites but lost the hard drive and had forgotten about it. I can't remember who started it so I can re read and enjoy again. Anyone remember who started it?????

Some of the postings I think should be in a Dave's Hall of Fame and that was one that I think would be there.

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Jim surely the instigator had to be Zany. Maybe you could try looking at the threads she's started!! :-)

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

I would say it was Aimee or Zany or maybe even Wind that started that thread. I remember it. It was a good one, maybe if we can't find it someone would be willing to start a new one hint hint! LOL

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

I found it. I forgot we have a search engine here on Dave's. Here it is. It was one of my favorites. http://davesgarden.com/t/136500/connie

We should ask Mystic to do a spin off from it. I'd like that alot. Made for a fun read.

lol Lousia, I did a search on Zany's posting before I posted. Seems we all sort of got involved with this forum.

Oh my...just reviewed that thread.
One that got my attention was one of Aimee's:

Whether you called her Tink or Peggy Glover,
It's a universal truth, to know her was to love her.
If she felt life for you seemed to be hard,
She lightened things up with a cheery card.
A surprise package, something she made,
Was sent without even a deal or a trade.
Her faith was strong, her heart was true,
She set a good pace for me and you.
........

She was a True-ness. Thanks, Aimee. And thanks Mystic for starting that thread.

And thanks Jim for reminding us why we stick around here and how could I have forgotten that it was dear Peggy who started it all.

So many new friends have joined us since then
It's time to start waxing lyrical again!

So true. I think that thread shows how much we care about each other. When I go in my yard each day I think about some member here that has cared enough about me to send a plant or some seeds. It is a magical feeling that I have toward Dave's. Now my question is who in the h--- sent the weeds. lol

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Hey I'll swap your weeds for my Jap. beetles - deal?? Good to see you posting again. Does this mean that Bobbie is doing much better?? I often think of her!

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

It means the arm I broke in three places is getting better.lol Bobbie has her a wheel chair now and doesn't use all her energy struggling on the walker. She still uses the walker if we have to go to the doctor or therapy. We are in the process of getting her a lift to go on the car for it and than she will be hard to handle. She'll be wanting to go to roundup's first thing you know. LOL Lousia thanks for thinking of us. The JB have already left here. We battle those things every year.

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Oh Jim I didn't know about your arm!! How on earth did you do that? It's so good to see you cheerful after what you have both been through. So.....Kentucky roundup it is then????? :-)

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

You broke your arm, Jim? Hey, do you think you and Bobbie can make it to Kentucky at the end of September? We' sure love to see you both!

lagrange, GA(Zone 7a)

I thought everyone knew I broke the arm. Back on April 6th. I broke it at work. I've worked two days since then. Sort of like not having to get up and face the world every morning. The arm is almost well but I am still going to therapy twice a week. My hand is what is giving me problems now. I have knots that came up in the palm of my hand. The doctor called it palm faceitious. I spelled it like he pronounced it. I don't have a good grip with that hand and it also hurts when I have to use it. We are thinking that Bobbie will have her lift by roundup time and if she does we will try to make it. I know there are several coming that I really want to meet and also see all fom last year. I was looking at the photo today of the picture you (GW) made last year. Looking forward to seeeing all those faces again.

They asked me to volunteer for temporary unemployment. Can you guess what my answer was. The hunan resource manager asked me Thursday how many weeks of unemployment I could still get. I told hem around 20 more weeks, He talked like he was going to let me stay out that long. That would be sometime after the first of December.
