She came over to Asheville from Knoxville for a conference, and we were lucky enough to meet, and trade some plants. Really a lovely lady and I'm sorry we didn't have more time. (She's the one on the left in blue jeans.)
I met Nathalyn!
2 Great Looking Blonde Gardeners! So nice to see you both
Such nice friendly smiles, in a lovely garden. Hi, girls.
Wonderful!! Darius, your garden looks good. Jo
It's amazing how you can meet a DG'er for the first time, but feel like you have known each other forever.
You two looks like the best of friends.
Hi Darius! Hi Nate! So nice to see you gals (:
(Hey Darius, Didja talk Nate into comin to our GA Swap?)
Vi
Great to see the faces of you two. I have chatted with Nat for a while now by email and really enjoy her notes. Thanks for posting the picture. Lani
vi... I suggested Nat join us. She's interested, but also needs a 'real' vacation away somewhere for more than a weekend.
Hmmmn, She's halfway to Florida, or Savannah and the Coastal Islands http://www.gacoast.com/, or Callaway Gardens http://www.callawaygardens.com/...
What kinda get-a-way are you looking for, Nat???
Nice to meet you Nat and always good to see you Darius! Your yard is BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!!
Nat needs to come visit me!
Hi guys! Pictures just do not do Darius's yard justice - - she has managed to create a peaceable kingdom with her flower beds, butterflies and hummers. While she is excited for the opportunity to start over with a clean palette at her next house, it must be sad to leave what she has created.
AND she is not just a gardener. Darius is handy with hammer and nails - having made her arbors, trellis, potting shed, and free standing screened-in porch. I came back filled with good ideas that I hope to apply here at my house. She would make a really good roommate - - now if I can just find a way to explain her to my DH......LOL.
After Darius's generous offer to share her cabin, I am sorely tempted to try and find a way to come to the GA RU. I would really like to meet Vi and others if I can just find a way to juggle a "real" vacation with DH and the GA RU - - both in October.
Gardening is a passion that needs to be shared to be fully enjoyed. I think that is why many of us "Davers" are so appreciative for the chance to connect with each other and forge new friendships.
And yes, Lani - - - Idaho is calling to me!
Oh ohhh I guess I better get out the weedeater and get busy around here once again. Sometimes I sure wish I could convince my DH that we need a smaller yard till he retires. LOL
Sure wish I could come to a few of the RU's. Hope I can sometime.
