Roundup Forum--When I saw that I thought it was about the grass killer. I will have to take a look at it.

Howdy Bird, nice to see ya in this thread too!
About the "Round Up" forum name. Another member here recently told me she thought what you did too. She suggested that since this is a "living" gardening community, maybe Dave oughta consider a different name for that forum besides "Round Up".
I say hows about something like "Let's Get Together!"
Just thought of that off the top of my head, I'm sure there are members here that have plenty of other good suggestions for a different name for it.

MaVieRose; looks like ya kinda fergot to put that link in eh? ;~)

tc, I live about 2 miles from that White Castle :) Next time you are passing through on your way home (where is home? Not PA?), yell! I will hear and come running. Er, limping. Caning? LOL

I went to an amateur production of The Secret Garden on Friday. The kid actors did a good job of attempting the accents, but the one who played Dickon sang (it was a musical adaptation) with an Irish accent. So odd, considering it was set in Yorkshire! And the adult actors! Few even attempted an accent. Rather than the pear-shaped accents that should have been, they were just mid-west. *sigh. I kept thinking how I would have loved to have had Louisa, Baa, Psilo, Mark, and all the other great DG people put on the production. Especially with Northerner and Wintermoor! Too much!

lupy; if I lived that close to a "belly bomber" restaurant I'd never eat at home!
I usually stop there as I mentioned above, on my way down to KY. I'd tell ya that I'd be stoppin there again on the 26th of next month on my way down to the KYRU but I'm not sure if I'll be takin that route this time.
I'll let ya know if I do though, and I'd be honored to stop and meet ya! Of course we'd havta meet at the Castle!

I ain't familiar with the play you mentioned. Maybe I should try to see it eh?

MaVieRose; now the link is there and works! ;~)

Grove City, OH(Zone 6a)

tc, you're going to KY too???? Yippee! I don't think I can meet you if you do take this route, tho, I will probably leave a few days early to give myself time to get down there. (I don't travel very well).

'gut bomber' isn't the common nickname for them around here -- can't use it in a family forum! LOL But I love 'em. I lived next door to one during college -- how else to stay awake during those all-nighters? White Castles and coffee. Yum.

I admit, I also thought the roundup forum was about weedkiller, and never read it for months!

Did ya really Pardancanda? LOL! ;~)

The White Castle by my house also carries Popeye's chicken. I don't really care for the sliders or the chicken but I love Popeye's biscuits. And T, I think 'Slingblade' is a great movie. I just loved it. But if my grandpa had sounded like that he would have scared me to death.

Why does it take me so long to find these great threads!!
There's just too many interesting things to read in DG.

A few of the East Texas sayins and meanins:
"I'm fixin to" -I'm about to, getting ready to.
"Raise the window up"- As opposed to raise it down, I guess.
"I'll carry you in my car"-I'll take you..
"I'm rarin to go"-I'm really enthused about this.
"If the creeks don't rise"- If some unforeseen circumstances..
"He was as poor as Job's Turkey"-Really poor.
There's a lot more. Bill
