Automatic refresh. Is that new?

Hillsboro, OH(Zone 6a)

I have just notice recently when I go back and forth, the pages refresh by themselves. Mine never did that before. Is that something new or did my computer just catch on?? LOL

Most likely your cache file is full or your settings have changed. Just a guess not sure myself.

Right - I'm not doing any specific cache defeating on my side, so your browser must be set to not cache these pages for one reason or another.

What does 'cache' mean? Inquiring minds want to know....

Celaya, Mexico(Zone 10a)

The "cache" is a place on your computers hardisk where the webpages you visit are stored for faster loading when the same page is revisited.
Usually when you press the "Back" button the page is loaded from this "cache" and with the standard settings is not updated to changes done to that page from the last visit.
E.g. if you press the back button now you would not see a new post which has happend while you read this. To get the updated page you would have to press the "Refresh" button thereafter it will be updated.

Hope that makes sense :)

It makes perfect sense, thank you. The strange thing is, like Badseed, I have been having the pages refresh by themselves all of a sudden. Maybe it's an Ohio thing. I sure hope it's not a pregnancy thing! LOL

Well, I find it odd that the pages here don't refresh automatically all the time, since I have my browser set not to cache at all. Just one of those things, I guess. I try not to let it bother me. :)
