Can someone who uses this enlighten me about how it performs?

I am thinking about getting my Mom a set up for her birthday,but want some info other than the salesman's pitch.

She does not want a computer,but would love surfing the net and getting email,I think....

She's always asking about DG and how everyone is doing,having met so many of you herself,so I figured I'd get her the Web TV and a DG subscription.

Help me out with whatever you know,good or bad...I've got a couple of weeks.

they are both the same except the TV also acts like a monitor. A monitor cant be a TV.

A couple of friends have web TV and like it. They can sit anywhere in the room and have the keyboard on their lap.
