Bob Hope

Bolton, Greater Manc, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

It is with great sadness that I heard of the death of Bob Hope yesterday at the age of 100. He was the last of the true greats! His work for charities and forces overseas was tireless and he inspired many people.
May he forever rest in peace . :))

I grew up watching old Bob Hope movies and his shows to the troops. He will be missed greatly. Linda

The selfish part of me wanted him to always be here, to overcome his illness and be in public again. The more merciful part of me said he has earned his rest and more, and I can't begrudge him relief. I hope his movies are shown all over the world so that wonderful talent is never forgotten.

Like Lucy, Bob Hope seemed to belong to us in a most special way.

One of the networks is doing Bob Hope Day all day Thursday, including a bunch of his movies. I don't remember which one it is but if I hear it again I will post it here.

Truely a great man he was. He will be missed by all. Always enjoyed watching his movies.
Here is one of my prized autographed pictures. I had gotten this autographed picture from him several years ago.
I have a collection of autographed pictures of so many different movie stars, sport figures, etc.
