What is your favorite Shampoo? The reason I ask is I have a all time favorite kind that I don't think they make any more. Remember Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific?? I found it on line but cost much much more than I remember!
Wondering also if they might sell it in other states and maybe just not here in GA?
What is your favorite?
Aveda rosemary mint
Aura makes a decent knock off :)
I think I remember what you are talking about. Have you checked Sally's beauty supply?
I remember it but havent seen it in ages!
Where did you locaate it?
My favorite over the years was the original herbal essence (no longer can find it and Prell, which is being brought back.
I currently use (what else would I use?) Johnson's Baby shampoo - lavender scent.
I just love Aveda Rosemary mint! It keeps the buggies away when I am in the garden! I found out here, that I cannot wear perfume during the day or everyone will be buzzing me! LOL Wonder if there is a nice scent they wouldn't like....humm
Herbal Essence the Pink one and Flex the green cap because it stay at last longer smell so good my hair for 3 days. I like other shampoo but it don't take last so now it is new come out DOVE smell that one too.

Makes ya wonder why they quit making it? I remember using it when I was a kid, and use to couldn't wait to get to wash my hair! Which then was only every other day. Now I was it everyday.
Ok tell me more about the Aveda Rosemary mint shampoo. Does it smell like peppermint?? Where do you buy it??
and what about the Aura that has one like the GYHST?
Aura makes a knock off of the aveda. Aveda is fairly expensive. Aura is much cheaper.
Its definitely a minty smell. You can smell rosemary too. I like it because the rosemary isn't overpowering. It really wakes you up in the morning!
I know they have Aveda in salons, I don't know if there is another place to find it. The only place I have found Aura is in Sally's Beauty Supply.
ok, a good knock off is Amenta. It is $5 a bottle (cheaper than Aveda) They have some great smells. Don't get the Cherry something. I don't like the creme rinse, it is too harsh for my hair. But the other stuff is yummy!!!!! Check out Albertsons if you have them. Some of them carry this and some don't. (if you ask they will get it) Check the Amenta site and they will tell you where to get it.
Amenta is good too. They used to sell it at my target then they stopped for some reason.
I think I will check my local Sally store and see what I can find there.
My favorite now is Herbal Essence the green color(not sure what they call it) Makes your hair smell fresh for a long time too!
I'll have to check out our Target too.
My hair is breaking off from the antibiotic onslaught from earlier this year - 26 weeks on antibiotics really has taken a toll on my hair and nails...
I tried Garnier Fructis shampoo and conditioners and I think they are actually truly strengthening my hair... I THINK I notice less breakage... which would truly be a miracle as I was considering getting it all chopped off short and starting over trying to grow it out again.
It smells DELICIOUS, too - like fruit salad on your head. Remember Apple Pectin from the 70's and 80's? It has that same ambrosia apple-y smell to it. Plus maybe peaches and citrus? Anyway, it really has been a calming influence on my poor hair.
And it DOES smell terrific!
panteen!!
Ahh yes I like Panteen too!
Oh my! I went and checked out the "Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific" site. The price of the shampoo isn't so bad, because you would pay that for the salon types anyway. But the shipping????? How can it cost $139 to ship 20 bottles of shampoo? Did I read something wrong?
Surely it is an error somewhere!
I had forgotten about that brand, and they had some of the cutest boy/girl tv ads. I couldn't use it, it stripped my hair too much and left it dry, but it sure was tempting with those ads.
Joan, I went and looked too and I saw that price too. If that is a typeo its a wonder anyone buys it!
I mean I love that shampoo, but I don't love it that much!!
In watching TVLand the other day I saw one of their old commericals, which reminded me of it. I remember them as well.
I use Suave...........and it's true, you can't tell the difference from Clariol.
"eyes"
Loved 'Hair Muscle', but cant find it anymore. Now I just buy whats on sale and what I have a coupon for...
Don't think I have ever seen "Hair Muscle" before.
I tend to get what is on sale for the kids, since they slip up every now and then and decide to make a bubble bath outta shampoo! LOL
my wife makes a bar (like soap) that is shampoo.
she'll scent it pretty much like however you like it...
I'm fond of NagChampa scent myself.
That is neat DeepRoots! She sounds like a talented lady!
I've never heard of the NagChampa??
I have a couple favorites...Nature's Gate: Chamomile and Lemon Verbena---- and Avalon Organics: Awapuhi Mango moisturing shampoo, then followed with the Awapuhi Mango conditioner. I have very fine, straight hair that tends to be dry, especially in the winter....these both work magic for me. Lots of shine and softness, too.
Do you buy this at a beautly supply place or like at the drug store/wal-mart??
I have very long thick hard lots of natural curls and mine gets like a haystack in the winter! LOL
It is still being made and sold, but only in the Philippines. That is probably why the shipping cost is so much.

The History of "Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific"
Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific Shampoo & Conditioner were originally manufactured in the mid-1970's by Jergens. They were heavily advertised in the USA with the familiar phrase "Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific!" A lot of people remember seeing those ads, and also remember having people tell them how terrific their hair smelled when they used "Gee".
Gee's scent was a little spicy, a little flowery, this fantastic-smelling shampoo was like the Pied Piper's flute. The magical scent carried through the air behind you and entranced the boys to follow! Try to put a label on that.
The packaging was simplicity at its finest: a purple bottle with the rainbow-colored name. In all capital letters and set off by quotation marks, the label shouted as loudly as the boys behind you did (or at least as loudly as you wanted them to).
Great-looking hair with bounce and shine that also smells great? Just don’t let it go to your head!
Gee was still available into the 1980's, but in the early to mid 80's Jergens stopped making "Gee", so it was no longer available. It was no longer available in the USA that is!
During the time Gee Shampoo and Conditioner was still available in the USA, Jergens licensed "Gee" products to be made and sold in the Philippines. Well, guess what? They are still being made and sold in the Philippines today! Yes, that's right, fresh and deliciously "Scent- Sational" Gee Your Hair Smells Terrific Shampoo and Conditioner are still being made and still available. But, they are only available one place in the world - The Philippines! But, we are here to fill the need and desire that people in the USA still have for "GEE". You can order directly from us and we will ship it to you directly from the Philippines!
