This is one I was waiting one from her when she got done with her crosses. One day maybe. She has been on my mind to and I thought about calling Ron but hate to make him think more about her so soon. I hurt for her and now for my little brother too.
American Pride
She must have been spreading sunshine all around today because i thought of her quite a bit today.
I started out first thing this morning weeking a brug bed and thought "wow, most of these came from Gloria". Then i was off to the other side of the yard and i saw the easter lilies have formed a huge clump, i said a silent Thank you to her, then i was off to the back yard where my very first ever brug still sits. Its about 5 years old and the base of it is about 2 feetx2 feet. She'll grow about 18 or so feet this year.
Then i was back around to the front and starting weeding another bed, white and pink bleeding heart vines, gingers, purple ruella (did a silent aargh, what were ya thinking girl, lol) and a few more plants.
THEN, as i was doing this last bed i came across a pathetic green stick that had 2 half eaten (love the rolly pollies) and my excitement grew. Could it be? Is it? Gloria had given me a Waltraud hybrid a few years ago that bloomed yellow, and she was aptly name "Gloria". Unfortunatly it didnt survive the winter and didnt do anything last year. Now this year there is something there.....sounds impossible, but im sure hoping. Sadly, if i would have known then what i know now, i would have treated it better than everything, kept it in a pot, and showered it with love to keep it alive.

I was thinking of her too. Just think of all the yards she will be beautifying this year with some of her creations or just those she had shared.
Jen ... it is so good to see you post again. You are missed and hope to see you around a little more.
