Anyone like to use candles?

How often you use candles? I use everyday candles in bathroom, living room and bedroom and right by my computer desk it is my favorite candles with strong perfumed.

My favorites are the fresh ones, like Bay Breeze or Rain Forest. I light them in the bedroom in winter, in the bathroom year round, in the living room and dining room during holidays like Christmas, and anytime I need a soothing atmosphere.

A day or two ago, someone here mentioned a Yankee candle I hadn't smelled, and I hope to find it soon. I usually buy a couple of small ones to try it out a new fragrance, because I definitely don't like the sweet ones, the overly-spiced ones, the heavy ones, the "artificial" ones that smell so chemical. If it says ocean or rain or breeze, I am interested. If it sounds like food or a fruit, I probably am not.

I like most Mulberry love smell sweet and herbs smell.

I love candles especially during the long dreary rainy days of winter. We try to light one on the dinner table quite often.

I like the candles that are locally made since they have a lot of fragrances that are really different from the store ones and the fragrance is full bodied so it fills the room pretty well with it without being overpowering. My favorite one so far is gardenia, and then the Majestic pine or maybe the Fresh Mountain Breeze or then there is the Pulmonaria. Hmmm I guess I like all of em I have tried so far. I need to start getting them in the refillable crocks rather than the trial size that is not refillable. Good stuff!

I burn them on occassion around the house and definitely on special occassions like Christmas or Thanksgiving. I ALWAYS have one burning at work. Makes it a more pleasant atmosphere.

San Diego, CA(Zone 10a)

When I was in college, candles burned always but after a stint as an insurance adjuster, I am very very careful and never leave a candle unattended. Please do not buy the candles that have leaves, candy canes, and pinecones in them. It gives them something extra to burn with sometimes unpleasant results!
Still, there's not much better than a nice bath with bubbles, bubbly and candlelight.

RR, I so agree. "Music hath charms to soothe the savage beast". I don't bathe by candlelight, since I usually shave in the tub, but I do like to have a candle burning in the bathroom. I frequently light a candle and start a favorite CD, when I run my bath water. A bit of bath salts to soften our hardest of hard water also helps to scent the bathroom. Usually, I feel a little like lying down after a warm bath, and if I don't have anything to do which would interfere, I lie down and enjoy the music and candlelight and fragrance for a bit.
