My SIL found it in her plant and informed me about this. I asked her to protect it for me. I had never heard, seen or beleived it till I saw it myself. Here it is. Is this unusual for this jasmine to form a fruit? Jasminum sambac.
Jasmine fruit - is it unusual?
I have read that they make seeds, but I've never seen one.
I have had my star jasmine for 5 years and have seen lots of blooms, but never fruit?
Maybe it takes a specific pollinator that is only present in the part of the world where your SIL lives? Some plants are like that. I have heard that jasmine fruits, but never seen it in person. Thanks for the photo!
