Garden before you sleep?

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

As crazy as it sounds, every single night soon as I get laid down in the bed and get all comfy my mind starts running wide open. I can't even begin to tell you how many flowers I have moved, how many new beds I have built, and how many weeds I have pulled all while I am lieing in my bed trying to fall asleep. LOL I've moved all my Glads to the same bed and built a nice little frame outta copper pipes for them to lean against. I've put out at least a ton of new mulch in the pathways and all around the plants. I've thinned out the Iris bed so that there are nothing but Iris in that one bed. I've made a long row of Canna's to outline my new jungle bed. I've took all the flowers outta the middle bed and planted them out in the other beds then made a hugh pond with fish and a waterfall and and and and!!
See what I mean??!! This is how my brain gets everytime I try to lay down and go to sleep!
Now I must ask, am I the only one here that does this??
Please don't say that I am nuts!

mollybee......if you can still get out of bed and stand up straight,.....you're not doin' too bad! that's my take on this..ha, ha! Elaine(who's sorer than yesterday!)

Palm Coast, FL(Zone 9a)

I meditate an hour a day, and I have the most difficult time trying to get all the visions of my plants, imagined new gardens, out of my head....so, have decided that it is one great form of meditation, as long as I don't think of anything else, and that's not difficult at all. It's the time I get my best ideas!
So, include me, if you're nuts, then I am, also! LOL

Harrisville, MI(Zone 5b)

Yep Mollybee,I have to get up and dig the dirt from under my nails with my morning coffee too!

Woodburn, OR(Zone 8a)

I do it too, so if you are nuts then so am I! lately it's been continuing after I fall asleep, I've been dream gardening every night!

Mercer, PA(Zone 5a)

Molly, was just wonderin if you noticed whether or not you're dreamin in color? Or if you've ever had a OBE (out of body experience) while sleeping? I dream in color and even saw myself out in my garden diggin up taters the other night (an example of an OBE)! I remember that I was just kinda "floatin" in mid-air, lookin down at myself. Neat huh?!

Silver Lake, OH(Zone 5b)

my favorite way to fall asleep!!! It instantly begins to relax me and I blissfully fall into a lovely restful sleep

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

So nice to see I am not the only one that does this. I tell ya though if I just had the energy to do all this work I would be really happy! I average doing this at least 5 out of 7 nights! But usually once I do fall asleep I don't dream about it though, I mean not that I can remember anyway.
As for OBE...none that I can think of. and as for the color part of it, well I just don't know. Don't know that I have even thought of it, so I'll have to wait until tonight and see if it actually even has color. lol

Mercer, PA(Zone 5a)

Tip for rememberin yer dreams: As you begin to awake just lay there for a few minutes and think about whether you had a dream or not. But I reckon iffin yer late fer work or 'bout to have a baby or somethin, this won't be possible!

Molly bee you are NOT alone. But like Janie said, I think, it relaxes me.

I used to plan floorplans for houses, but now I do gardens instead.

Must better than counting sheep, and your knees dont hurt as much either!

Villa Rica, GA(Zone 7a)

I do find that it relaxes me too. Because usually before I am finished with the gardening I am fast asleep! If I could just muster up enough energy to get all of what I am thinking finished the next day! That IS a dream in itself! LOL
