Maybe it came up before, but I'll ask anyways.
When adding a new plant in the Special PDB's, e.g. Tomatoes, Hostas, Irises,...etc. the Family, Genus and species name (if applicable) is blank.
Is it possible that the fields are already filled when adding a new plant, since many times only the cultivar name changes in the special PDB's ?
I know I'm getting lazy LOL
Adding new plants in special PDB's
That's actually not possible, since the *DB's (our nickname for the various sub-databases) span multiple species or genera.
For example, the Beans database includes the following plants:
Genus: Phaseolus, Species: ALL
Genus: Vigna, Species: unguiculata
Genus: Vicia, Species: faba
Genus: Vigna, Species: sesquipedalis
So we don't know which you adding. One thing that would be cool, however, would be pulldowns or something. We'll see.

That's understood, but could the most common Genus/Species of the individual *DB's be shown and just be typed over, like in adding a synonym to a plant, in case it differs?
Surely adding a pull down menu would be the ultimate (besides mind reading capability LOL).
