Garden tour

Mount Angel, OR(Zone 8a)

One of the local schools sponsors a self guided tour of 8 different gardens for a small fee. Yours truly was garden number 7. I have just spent the day visiting and talking plants with many many people. What a joy it has been!!! I have noticed as a whole gardeners are just downright decent folk,( I knew that already because of the good people here at DG). People respected our property and stayed out of barns and other outbuildings as this is a working berry farm. I was told lots of people about this great wonderful website called Dave's Garden. So how many of you try to get others interested in this great gardening family.

What a fun day Joann...Absolutely everyone I know knows about DG because it's difficult to talk to me and not talk flowers and when I talk flowers and plants, I always talk DG.

Lenjo, congratulations on being one of the garden tour gardens. There was a garden and pond tour in an area about 30 miles from here, but I decided not to go. It was 100 degrees again today and I know I couldn't be out in the heat for that. This was the 8th year for that particular type of garden tour. They came here for one of the gardens on the first year, so i know how busy you were getting everything ready. Donna

Jo, I know your gardens were the most beautiful of all! Good for you, it sounds like you're having a wonderful summer, the wedding, getting to meet some special DG friends, and now tour of your spectacular gardens, you've been busy and I bet your berries are coming on strong right about now too!!
I encourage people to join DG all the time if they show any interest in gardening, maybe soon we will have enough people for a Pacific Northwest roundup!!!
