Member list

I know this has probably been covered before but I can't get any results with the Search DG thingy.

I have some emails from DG requesting plant/seed trades. I am going to be gone for the weekend and before I reply to the sender I would like to know if they are new to DG or what. If they aren't new I would get the trades ready to mail before I leave tomorrow. However, I cannot put their DG name from the bottom of their email into search and come up with anything. And I cannot go to member list and find them without going through tons of pages? Is there an easier/faster way to do this?

Joan; if you put your mouse by the person's name, it will tell you when they registered. I see that you registered on Aug.2 of 2001

CoCo is right about that. But, if all you have is an email from the member, it's harder.

type into the address bar of your browser
davesgarden.com/members/dgname

where dgname = the person's Dave's Garden name (my page is at davesgarden.com/members/sundry). Then hit enter.

That should get you their member page. Unfortunately, the date joined is not on that page (Dave, why isn't it?) But you can click to see threads they've started, where you can use CoCo's trick.

If they haven't started any threads, you are back to square one. If you limit the member list to only subscribers, the most pages any one letter has is 3, I think.

Sorry, that's the best I've got.

The join date is now on the member page (thanks Sundry; nobody has ever requested that and it was an easy addition).

Well I learned two things tonight! I didn't know about the mouse trick or how to get to a member page easily!(I usually look for a post and then go from there)

Thank you all so much! I couldn't figure out how to find a member's page. I didn't reply to the emails because I was leary about just sending stuff off before I left for the weekend without getting a feel for them, whether they were serious or not. I recently sent out daylilies for postage, before getting the postage, because they needed to be moved asap for the landscaping project we are doing. I have only received one postage reimbursement out of four, so I'm a little leary about doing that again. I'd like to think that everyone would reimburse me, but it's just not so. I'm going to try the tricks I learned here right now, then reply to the emails I have on hold. Thanks so much for the helpful info.
