Granny Lois

Mount Angel, OR(Zone 8a)

I got a great surprise late this afternoon. Lois called and paid us a visit with her sister, son Dan and his wife , and Lois herself. We picked a few marions and looked at the garden and they went their way as they still had much to do. Lois is quite a sweetie, she would have been so easy to talk with much longer. Thanks for stopping Lois, she brought me two crepe myrtles in trade for some marion berry plants.

I'm so proud Lois is doing good she is such a sweetie.

How wonderful that you got to visit with Lois and some members of her family. I am so glad to hear that she is getting out and being with people, which will really help her through the intense grieving period she is in.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful visit with us. So glad you had time together and were able to share plants. I wish it could have lasted longer for you too! Take care!

Argh! I just found this. You won't guess how I found it: I did a search on google.com for granny lois~!

Anyway, Lenjo, how are the crepe myrtles doing? I have one marionberry plant that survived being chopped down at least twice this summer by well-meaning people weeding-eating for me. (All the other ones did not make it.) I believe that one plant will give me added plants each year, though. It's looking real good!

Grannylois, your crepe myrtles are alive and well. With your marionberry plant take the end of the cane that grew or if there are multiple canes and stick them(the tips of the canes) under the dirt( we are doing that process right now) and hopefully by spring it will have roots and this is how you can get more plants. If not I can resend.
