I just think it is so sad about the conjoined 29 year old twins who died in surgery to separate them.

They have determined that because the laldies were joined together for so many years that their brains grew together even more than expected.

I guess that means that it should be done when children are infants or not at all....

May they rest in peace they were such sweet people and talented.

Lavanda I've been thinking about them all day. They seemed so very happy and I imagine they had such a difficult life. How brave they were to have tried this.

Perhaps one day our knowledge of the human body will reach a level that will result in more success with separation of critical organs in conjoined twins. I was saddened by the news of their deaths after following their story in the news. Like Elsie I echo respect for their bravery in spite of the odds.

It made me start thinking about how we take SO much for granted. Simple things like going to the bathroom, turning over in bed, stuff like that.

God is so perfect to have thought all these things out and given them to us.

I was particularly impressed with how they could play piano with one hand each on the keyboard...dang I am not even coordinated to do that !

Hopefully in heaven, they can now be independent, although methinks that the two would still be so close after all those years!

These precious souls have been on my mind, too. I am so sad that they didn't get to experience life as single entities on Earth, as they had wished, but I know that they are now alive in a realm where they can soar. God bless them both.

I too was deeply saddened when I heard they didn't make it. I had prayed for them numerous times, hoping their operation would be successful. They showed such bravery.
