hey all, I made it here to my mom's house this afternoon. I tell you what, after that looooong drive to NM, this 7 hour trip seemed like nothing at all......LOL

So how has everyone been?

Missing you! How wonderful that you are able to get on at least a bit. I am a tad envious of you for that cable, but not much.

well guys, I'm not at home anymore.......lol
I was only home for 2 days and then went on to my mom's house with the kids. I'll be here in TN until the 11th of Aug. and then back home :)
The doggies were so excited when we picked them up from Tracy's house, they were all over me and actually scraped me up pretty good because they were way happy to see us...lol

Susan, this will be remembered as the year you tried to emulate Roadrunner. When summer is over, you will have been gone more than you were home.

I will need a relaxation time though when I get back home and I'll be bugging the heck out of you if I get this surgery on my foot as I'll be bored out of my mind sitting at home until it heals......lol
I'll have cable then so will be surfing like mad :)

I had quite a bit of pain in that area of my foot today and when I went to help my mom move her table outside into the screened tent she has, one of the darn legs came off. The things are filled with sand to weigh the table down and it landed right on my foot, broke it open in a spot where it bled and swelled up. Needless to say, I was in even more pain after that and it hurts pretty bad :(
I'm alright though, nothing is broke, just bruised :)

Ouch! I wish that could have been avoided.

You just bug away. It's good to know you will at least slow down and get some rest when the excitement is over.

seems like I need to have the phone line repaired when I get home :(
I tried to call home and all I get is 1 ring and then a bunch of static. I called a friend of Jim and I and he tried too and got the same thing. I swear the phone company is messing with me because I told them I didn't want to pay that $4 for residential service a month.
I'll have to figure out what's going on with that when I get home unless I can get a hold of the phone company while here. This really urks me to no end.

Your return does surely make everyone here thrilling.
wonder if you have picked up any new seeds in NM?
I got in two mango seeds.a school kids of mine came back to school after he spent three weeks'holiday at home.as a gift he sent me the tropical fruit mangoes.after finishing the delicious yellowish fruit,the giant seeds i kept.(length 2 in; width 1 in).thought to save them for some us gardeners living in the tropical zones,the size is a problem,and besides both ends of customers will not think them as seeds.as i know such giant seeds are uncommon to see.

I guess you must have fun to have a casual tour around NM.
But for me,this summer holiday is not a holiday at all.have to stay at school all day long meeting the new students' parents and mentoring the students who remain at school during the holiday.i hardly have time to go out of school to breath fresh air.recently the only time to go outside is to catch butterflies with the school biology summer holiday camping group .the experience of that time was not so bad -- alltogether i caught five with the net.the biggest one is black with white dots and strips.those have been made into samples and i will send to one of my friends whose favorite hobby is butterfly collecting.

Flowox, hope the surgery with your foot is successful. I am facing the same thing, foot surgery with my left, thankgoodness, my left. I should be able to drive even tho will not be able to use my left foot at all for 2 months. How long will you have to be off your foot (feet). Donna

Jianhua, it's good to hear from you. Sorry to hear that you are stuck at school though. I did get a picture of the century tree and will try to post some pictures this weekend.

Donna, not sure how long I'll be off of my foot. Bad thing is that it's my right foot :(
So driving will probably be out of the question. I'll find out when I get back home to OH and see the doc on the 14th and see what he says about the surgery. He'll probably send me to talk to the surgeon first.

You will se the dr on Aug 14 then? (Since July 14 is gone forever....)
