Boy what a holiday weekend I had

Brooklet, GA(Zone 8a)

it all started on thursday morning. i arose at 6am. ready for a full day in the yard. after breakfast and all it is now 9am. i got the kids u early cause we are going to get this five acreas into shape. i figure one on the push mowyer, one on the rider and me on the bushhog and in just a few hours we could be done. yeah right! first the rider's battery is stone dead. uncle james hooks up the charger and then it will not crank. . dh had it to running good before his surgery. dh comes out, and tells us what to do but it just will not run. then i decide ok, we'll just use the push mowyer and tractor. i gas up and fill the oil in the push mowyer and after the first pull the rope pulls out of it. beaten down, not yet. uncle exchanges the head for me and we are ready again to start. wrong, it will not crank no matter what we do. ok then i am just going to cut what i can with the bush hog. i cut a little here and there. the girls move the swing so i can cut there and here. after just a few minutes i need to go inside. so what hapens as i step down off the tractor my knee cap slips out of joint. the most awful pain i can remember. by 4pm i relent and go to the emergency room. so i spend all of the last three days in the bed in pain. finally today it is a little better. my orthopedic doctor will be out of town until wednesday. if not better by then then i have to see him and possible face surgery. it is possible that i chipped some cartliage that will have to be removed. say a prayers this does not happen.

so how was everyone elses holiday????

My kneecap slid out of position many, many years ago, and to this day I can remember how excruciating that pain was. The knee swelled mightily and took days to recover, but surgery was not required and I pray that it will not be necessary for you, either.

Oh, Janet, I am so sorry! I hope that things are looking better after you see your orthopedic surgeon. Glad the pain is a little better but you certainly want to be sure it is healed for the long term!

Keep your chin up and I'll be praying for you ☺

Hugs!

Janet, I hope by now you are seeing a vast improvement in your knee. It sounds like shaping up the five acres just wasn't meant to be.

Hi Janet,
Glad to hear you're doing better! Hope the doc gives you good attention and makes you right as rain again. Sorry to hear your 4th was painful. There is always next year, right? Take care.
