With all this recent warm weather and heavy rain the weeds have taken over and grown to ginormous proportions. Docks,stinging nettles and thistles rule! paths are impenetrable and I am quickly lost in the seething mass. However, this afternoon I took control and started hacking everything back. I felt like Livingstone in the African jungle !!LOL

For now I have gained back control, but not, I fear for long!! :O

My jungle is still growing apace as I'm distracted by the necessity to be doing things indoors which would be much better done in the wintertime :(
....like fixing floorboards, laying carpet, putting up curtain rails and curtains, sorting and chucking junk and old furniture, .......and waiting for the builder to come and finish my kitchen sob sob

I got the weeds almost under control six weeks ago, but they've grown beyond recognition since then
Oh well, sigh, can't do everything......
As soon as indoors is under control I'll have to plan a new campaign lol

LOL Philomel but with a plot the size of mine I cant afford to lose control. Otherwise it is alot of hard work to get it back in shape. Also the plants struggle for supremacy and I need to be able to get to and harvest the seed.

yeah philomel, with 3 allotments, 2 businesses, 3 children a household and a budgie to look after I know that feeling too!! LOL

I feel for both of you. The building work and the weeds. Our work in the home is just about complete but the weeds are forever beckoning me outside. Tropical storm 'Bill' decided to dump 6 inches of rain here and then tomorrow - temps in the high 90s with heat index of 105 and high humidity. Yep, I too think it's going to feel like a jungle out there tomorrow. :-)
