The camp

As some of you might remember, I was in the one-week camp on 12.-19.7. in neighboring city, Kirkkonummi, in a place called Hvittorp. The camp was run by our Evancelic-Lutheran church and next sunday I have my confirmation in old Espoo Church. Mitjo already had his camp and confirmation. After the confirmation I can get married in church and become a god father etc. That's what it's all for.

Well, as I said, I was in Hvittorp, a nice place near lake Hvitträsk. There was an old house, it looekd gorgeous inside, lots of rooms etc. A story says there's a ghost too, a woman. Don't know if it's true, some people say they've seen it though. It was a bit scary place of course, as old big houses are. Here's a pic of it:

Something weird happened to my cellphone at the place btw. We weren't staying in this old house anyway, there was another (new) and not very nice building for us. Anyway, my cellphone started acting weird on the second day after our arrival. I had to re-boot it many times a day, as it somehow "froze" like Windows sometimes can do ;) Don't know why it happened. After I came home from the camp it has worked normally. Don't know was it something in the place that caused it or..? I just started thinking it last night and then I realized this thing - that it only worked weird there. Hmmz. Oddball.

There was a long dock in the lakeshore in front of the sauna. It was a bit weak from the end - when enough people went there it started sinking :) Of course it always came back up when we left it.

Here are two good friends of mine, Kiira and Juulia, we had great time there together.
One sunny day we (and about 10 other friends of ours) went to the large roof of the building of the camp-house to sunbath. :D It was a great place to do it but after that we were told not to go there because the roof was too weak. Blah, boring adults.

What a neat old house - they are scary sometimes! They sigh in the night hours with creaks and groans, don't they?

Kiira and Juulia are so pretty! What is the plant with the large leaves behind them?

Heheh, this house was silent at least at the time we were there ;)

Evert it sounds like you had a lot of fun. Do people stay in the old house at night? I don't think anyone could pay me enough to stay there, but it sure is beautiful. I like the way you took the picture looking up at the house.

Kathy, there are many rooms for guests to stay, I would stay there if I could and if I ahd some friends with me. :) It's so great looking inside.

It is a very unusual, lovely house but I don't think I could spend the night there either. The photos are lovely. Oh!... to be young again!!! :-)
