House of Rocks

I was thinking about Shirley when I went to my favorite store today.

This one was nice.

Then something made me think of you Terry,LOL!

Doc, they really sell rocks? For money? If that's the case I can become a millionaire with all the rocks I have in my yard. Every shape and size you could possibly want. LOL

Yep and I'm Dumb nuff to buy a rock!LOL!

Save your money and head up here with a shovel or a bulldozer if you want some big ones. I could fill a tractor trailer with what's just in my garden.It would sure make it easier to dig holes next year for the Brugs.;)

I have a friend who has a rock store. She sells petrified trees and everything. She sells big geodes on Ebay and ships them in the mail, some weigh 50lbs!

We have to buy them here by the pound, consequently I have none in my yard or by my pond. I did bring a few back from Alabama for the pond.

Here are a few rocks I got,wish my camera was better,the bottom one is a type of Mica,it glows silver in the sun.

Oh, how I pity you poor people who live where the glaciers didn't deposit rocks during the ice age! (Not!!) ;-)

They don't call NH the Granite state for nothing. Our landscape is made up of rocks and boulders and there are many stone walls which were made when people cleared their yards for gardens and smooth lawns. Gosh, I'd pay someone to come and take all my rocks and boulders.

Don't think I am in the flat part of Ks.it is hilly,with many rocks,some of the stone work around here,done by the Hispanic culture of this area is truly amazing.

Doc, we have gone through several lawnmowers and two rototillers in the past several years. Every spring it seems that the frost has heaved more up in the yard. Lawnmowers are not meant to take the tops off of rocks. LOL

Why is it that people who have rocks don't necessarily want them and people who have none will go to great effort and/or expense to get them? People are funny creatures!
