Dave,
When I finally figured out how to post a picture ..it sai ooppsie your photo must be intef or something like that..how do i do that. Sorrry about the stupid questions, I am just very computer illiterate

It means that your file must be in "jpg" form. When you create your image with whatever software package you are using, just make sure you save it as type "jpg".

Then you'll be able to post it.

I just have an ordinary analog camera, 35mm. But it's a Canon with various lenses. What would I need to do be able to post pics here? Scanner? Software?

If you are producing prints from a standard film camera you will need a scanner to turn them into images that you can store, transfer or print from your PC. A recent WHICH survey suggested some good buys - for the most standard PC users requirements, for under £100. Scanners usually come with the necessary software, but if you want to be able to do some really advanced stuff with editing and or desktop publishing, you will need some specialised software, not to mention a very high quality colour printer.

You could consider buying a digital camera. Mine is a FUJI and cost just over £100 from Morgan Computers (they sell refurb computer equipment, but with full manufacturers guarantee).

Hope that helps,
