"To Do" reminder in journals?

This may not be possible, but as I was working on my journal tonight, I thought it would be nice if our "To Do" list would pop up in our journal at the appropriate times? Much like Microsoft calandar does? Maybe by month only, not particular days?

I realize that this may take a lot of work but thought I'd ask if it was possible. If it's not possible or would take mega hours to do, just tell me and I'll totally understand. I have bulbs that need to be dug in the fall and it would be nice to know where they are at a glance of my journal. I'm also growing some plants that are "pushing the zone" and I need to heavily mulch them, along with many other things I need to remember to do so I don't lose plants.

Maybe it could just be a reminder like. "There's items on your To Do list that need attention" when we log onto our journal? Then we could figure it out from there by our "To Do" list?

Joan, it is a good idea - when Dave gets a chance, hopefully he'll weigh in and let us know if it's feasible :)

That does sound like a good idea - but I can't even seem to figure out how to use the "to do" feature! Help me out here, please - I've just gotten started with a journal and would like to use this part! (I have a feeling this is going to be really obvious, but I just can't see how you get it started) TIA -

I had a hard time figuring it out, too. :)
This is what I came up with.

When viewing an item, you choose to add an entry.
There's a drop down box labled
What type of entry is this?:
Choose ToDo from the drop down.
type out your To do reminder and hit Submit

Cheri, thank you SO much! I'm really glad I asked because now that I see how you do it I don't think I would have figured it out until I somehow stumbled on it accidentally. I think we need a "help" thing for the Journal section (unless, of course, there already is one and I just haven't found that, either!!) Thanks again -

I got so frustrated trying to figure it out, and couldn't. I kept thinking "it's got to be right here in front of me and I don't see it"

Finally, I gave up and started adding entries to other items - and there it was. LOL!

Glad to know I'm not the only one who had a hard time with it. :)
