word docs as attachments?

Can this be done? How?

Hi, ecobioangie. No attachments can be sent through the DG email system. Or are you wanting to know how to attach a document to an email you generate from your personal email account? If so, I can move your question over to the computer talk forum...

Nah, thanks Terry, I know how to email an attachment. I was trying to attach a word doc of a flyer I was going to put out so that I could get opinions.

Okay, well you have a couple options, depending on the technology at your disposal :)

You can copy and paste it into a thread (formatting goes out the window, but people can give you feedback on the wording.)

If you have a scanner, you can scan it and upload it as an image. If you don't want to post it in a thread, you can put it in your journal, and direct people to that entry (just make sure you've marked your journal as "public")

If you don't have a scanner, there's one more option: Depending on how large the fonts are on the flyer and whether it will fit on your screen and still be legible, you could do a print screen (CTRL+PRINT SCREEN) with the flyer open in Word and then paste the print screen into a photo editing program. Then crop it to show just the flyer and save it as a jpg.

My hubby did it in photoshop for me. thanks GW :)

Oh, if it's in Photoshop, he could just save the whole flyer as a JPG easily. Have you posted it at DG yet? I'd like to see!

It's a flyer in the landscape forum under 'for hire' :)

Thanks! Heading over there now.
