in my journal-when i add a new item, i cant get the sow date to show up? its gotta be me!!!! help dave
the only thing in my journal is seeds ive sown!

Hi notmartha. Sowing seeds is an "Action you performed", so here's the steps you should take:

1. Add the category for the item.
2. Add the item.
3. Add a new entry for this item. In that entry, change the date area back to the date you had sown the item. In the comments section, say something like "I sowed the seeds today".

This way, the system seeds that you performed an action on the day that you said.

The "sow date" field is only a reminder, or TODO, kind of entry, that is entered at the same time as you create the item. The journal doesn't treat that as an action you performed, and as a matter of fact, it simply ignores it altogether, except to remind you of the date.

He still expects you to enter in an entry item on the day that you sow the seeds, so he knows the seeds were actually sown.

Does this make sense? The journal is fairly complicated at first, and my wife tells me that I need to document it a lot better, and make it easier to use.

now i see i can enter all the names of the seedz i plan to plant and just update them....kewl beanz!
as soon as my son brings back my notebook(seed list)he borrowed this morning for school i can get started!
