I know how much you love bridges couldn't pass up the chance to show you a great one. How would you like to drive across this one?lol Lisa or Susie will have to tell us the name its going to LA to see Lisa.
Michele this Bridge is for you.
oh my, the first picture made me sick like I was really on it. I couldn't ride over something like that.
mystic, you really caught the bridge in that first picture, it has a 3d feeling to it. not good for someone with a fear of them:) but...
Well tiG, why the heck do you think she posted it for me??? LMBO!!! We had to go over one on our trip to GW's and I referred to it as Butt Pucker Bridge!!! So, on the way home, in the pitch black, I ask Peggy, "Did we pass that bridge yet?". She replies "Oh I think so, a couple of miles back.". So I am relieved and we continue on. Several minutes later she says, "OH, we are on the bridge now.". I darn near died in my seat! LOL She is evil, I tell ya. I think there was a 90 foot drop straight into a rock filled hole!!!
I just kept telling you we had already passed it so you wouldn't worry about it. I never said here it is you just noticed that all on your own I was hoping you would pass it and not even notice.
Chele, I know exactly how you feel! LOL!! B. Pucker Bridge, too funny!! been there
That is the Luling/Destrihan Bridge. It is crossing over the Mississippi River and is a very high suspension bridge. If you think that one is bad, you should cross over the Huey P. Long...that one will make you scream!
Don't ya just love the way they sway when the wind is up??
"eyes"
I think I am gonna be ill..............LOL Swaying, you had to say swaying!!
I gotta back up justmeLisa. The Luling bridge is great, the Huey P. ... the stuff of nightmares.
Cheri'
And then there is me....I can't WAIT to cross the Ohio River into OH. 48 hours, I'm there! DD and DSIL just left. They are staying here while we're gone. Went over all the plant and animal stuff with them. Call me excited. I love bridges...don't care much for tunnels though, especially when they are under water!
HAH!... lotsa giggles here!
You go Mystic!...(po po Badseed!)
Hey sundry, welcome to DG, I am your neighbor...how 'bout the old Amelia bridge..now that one creeped me out too...and the Sunshine brige..with all the repairs they are doing right now..you look down and see the mighty Mississippi River through the holes in the road....eeek!
Vic, we have tunnels under water here, there is one in Harvey, not far from Louisiana Sweet Pea--that tunnel leaks..
Hey Vic coming across the bridge headed back home means you will be closer to getting here. I can't wait.I thought it was beautiful. I made the comment going to see Lisa you could really see things besides trees along the interstate. It was a beautiful drive.
Lisa, How about the Rigolets on a foggy nite?
LOL, justmeLisa, I always think of the "Amelia Mountain" when I think of bad bridges. Ever got stuck on that thing, due to traffic or an accident? Scary stuff!
I haven't been across the Sunshine in ages. Sounds like I'm better off.
And Vic, she is right about the Harvey Tunnel. Take my word, you don't want to go there.
