sending photos to others

From time to time I have seen information or pictures at DG that I wanted to forward to others.. While I have encouraged and gotten a few folks to join, not everyone does but they are still gardeners and sometimes I want to send them a picture. Since they are blanket copywritten, they can't be sent. But what if I get permission from the person who posted one; how can I send it then?

You can use the "send this page" or "send this link" (assuming you're using IE), by choosing "File", "Send" and selecting which option you want to use. In this way, you're not violating any copyright issues, nor do you have to obtain prior permission.

I think I tried that and it didn't work. I am using IE. The e-mail went but there was no picture.

Hmmm. I just sent them to myself and it worked. Of course, it could be since I'm a subscribed member, I can see more than a non-logged-in/non-subscribed member...

If you right-click any picture you should get the option to 'Save Picture As...'.
Save it to disc and then attach it to any e-mail.
