True or false?

A friend of mine said that she will not purchase 'Lucky Bamboo' because harvesting it is taking away the Panda's food supply, thus endangering the Pandas. I said that I didn't think so because it is really Dracaena and not bamboo. Does anyone know if the Pandas rely on these for food as well as bamboo?

You don't have to worry, the lucky bamboo is a native of Africa:)

you are right in thinking that "Lucky Bamboo" is a dracaena and not the food for Panda's. Buy one for your friend and tell her to enjoy it. :>)

and why do Lucky Bamboos die in no time at all?

Maybe their luck ran out?

LOL! Mine have been doing okay and even growing leaves since about January. I've even moved them into different containers a few times. All I've heard is not to use bottled water.

I have several, and they are nearly 3 years old now. I just use tap water. Some of them now have leaves about 5-6" long. Biggest problem is remembering to add water occasionally.
