The sun came out and it's a Happy Day!!

The sun came out Friday and Saturday and it almost got to 80 degrees!!!! I have worked 60 hours this week and have been going non-stop since Tuesday, today is the first day this week I've had a chance to get out in the garden, and everything has grown by leaps and bounds!!! There are blooms and buds everywhere I look, birds are singing, there's a few bees buzzing around what a great day it is. I've got a little weeding, feeding, and watering to-do, nice relaxing garden care. These are the moments I just love when you wake up rested and content with the world, knowing the only thing you have to do is tend and enjoy your small piece of earth. It's one of those days when the hardscaping, shrub removal, pruning, lugging loads of soil and mulch and all of the back breaking work pays off, that end result you're always waiting for. So I guess as any gardener this moment of euphoria will wear off, and by the end of the day I will be planning another project!!! I hope everyone has a great day today and don't forget to stop and enjoy the fruits of your labor!!!

Enjoy your day! It is always nice to spend the day puttering about the garden and those small easy chores you mention are indeed the perfect ones for doing just that! My favorite is watering by hand. As I stand still in each spot to water I "see" the garden and it gives me time to soak the plants while I soak in the beauty and admire each blossom or twig.

Yes, I know just the sort of jewel-like day you're talking about -- they come often enough to keep one going through the hard times, but not so often that one ever takes them for granted. Perfect, aligned, splendid -- a glorious moment in time. Enjoy your whole day!

Oh yeah! Enjoy Your day - they are too far in between sometimes for us to really appreciate. This morning the sun poked out about 5:30 am and tucked again until about 2:00 .pm - and then WOW have we been lucky. I swear the potates grew at least 2 in. this afternoon.Aren't we blessed to enjoy this kind of weather? D.

Ours started out that way, then we went to WalMart to buy some stuff to make some chili and it started to storm like mad just very suddenly and we got totally drenched trying to get the car :(
so much for the rain stopping
