Does anyone know if this can be divided and what time of the year is best? Thanks for your help

Pampas grass can be divided but it is not an easy task! Fall is the best time for diciding it. You need to dig out the root ball and cut it into pieces then plant the pieces and water well. It is a simple job and they reestablish easily but it is only simgle in the "how to" and not in the doing. The root mass is tenacious and huge making the digging a very major job. Cut the plant back to about 6-8 inch stubble befor you dig or the leaves will slice and dice you!
