Guess What I Got? Secret Trades

With all of that are sending out boxes tomorrow, maybe i will get mine soon?!

I sent out my package last Monday and I haven't heard from my receiver yet. Please let me know if you have received my box, as I'm getting worried that the plants are suffering somewhere.

Sorry I didn't post on Sat. but I did get my box and it was sooooo full of goodies......Got them all planted and enjoying the book and other treats also.....Received hostas, ice plant, christmas cactus,black eyed susan vine, morning glory and more but can't remember right now....Thanks Flowox for such a wonderful box.........

SoCal, in the past two secret swaps, there were many people that just didn't post that they got their box. You might get eyes to write them, but odds are it got there.

Maybe I'll get mine soon too, I am excited!

Did the brug seedling survive? I was so worried about everything. Hope you liked all the other stuff too and find good use for that book after a hard day in the garden :)
Whew.......I'm so relieved to know it got there.
Now I'm waiting for the mailman with great anticipation, hoping that something will get here today........lol

Flowox the brug seedling made it and looked good...Potted it up and this morning looks a little wo-be-gone....Don't know what its problem is........Didn't have it it the sun sooo set it out in it today but more cloudy than sunning right now...Any ideas??? I just love brugs...Thanks

move it into shade and let it recover before working it into the sun. sometimes they pout when getting mailed.

tiG has a good tip. I had them outside so it should be used to the weather but it may be in shock from being mailed

Santa visited me!! It is true -- my secret trader was Santacltr2 and she sent me a generous trade of so many things! Spiderwort, Geranium, Centaurea, 2 kinds of iris, obedient plant, malva, canna, and a few others I can't think of right now. Thanks again Santacltr2, I can't wait to see all the blooms!!

I got mine today!!! I got columbines (my favorite of the year), blanket flower, a Painted fern (yippee) and a huge Tropicanna canna. I am just thrilled, thanks so much Tina (tmbolin)

I did get my box from Cala though from the tropical co-op so I did get something :)

My box made the deadline, went out this morning. Should be there by Wed. or Thurs.

I've been remiss in not posting last week, but I'm still "tied up" in Clematis vines!

My incredible secret trade came from "Iris" a.k.a. Debbie. Not only did she out do herself in the number of plants and size of each item, but then to top it off, each one was lovingly wrapped in colorful tissue paper, tied with colorful ribbons and identified with a gift tag! I thought it was my birthday (NOT) - but it felt like it!! Plus, she also included in her fabulous secret trade an adoreable garden ornament (which I will find a very special place in my garden to put it), hand labled plant and several lovely book markers! I tell you, I was TOTALLY blown away by her incredible generousity!

The plants in my secret trade "gift" box were:

I was so excited to find it on my door step Saturday afternoon,

Heres what came in perfect healthy condition i must add:

(Plants have all been planted and are doing fantastic - Looks like the duranta has grown some)

My package went out this afternoon to my secret pal. I had it all ready to go (or thought I did--left 2 plants out by accident--will send later this week) and then we had an emergency here that had me rushing to get it to the post office at the last minute. I hope my secret pal will enjoy the plants. I didn't have enough time to put a nice note in the box but did send a list of the plants I was sending (minus the two plants that got left sitting on my work table). I hope the package will arrive safely. CB

Woohoo!!! I got my secret trade from crestedchik yesterday -my net is broke at home. I am at the library now and don't have the list. Wow, she sent it in a six foot box - thought at first she had mailed me her whole garden. From memory, a rose bush, alstromeria, variegated tropical hibiscus, lone star hibiscus, variegated ice plant, abutilon, 2 hostas, lily bulbs and some others don't know the names and may have forgotten a few. Wow, what a huge haul. Thank you so much, Karen.

if it got mailed yesterday (last day) it wouldn't be there yet.

I just always worry about mailing plants.........lol

Thanks to LauraM !!!! What a beautiful and fun box! It arrived yesterday but I didn't have time to get on the computer yesterday. What a lovely box with colorful sponge flowers and designs on the brown package. I found gloves, a cute frog "WELCOME" sign for my garden! There were 2 pot "sitters" that are so cute. One is a picket fence/garden and the other is a beautiful straw hat with flowers around it. They are really cute and already hanging on my pots. Oh, and a large pack of wildflower seeds - definately love those.

Here's the best part! A card with a nice note inside. Thank you LauraM. My plants were great. I received:
1 - Burning Bush
1 - Cat's Whiskers - which I've never seen
1 - Blackie Sweet Potato
1 - Pacificum Chrysanthemum
1 - Star Gazer bulb that leafed out
1 - Gian Hesperaloe - and I can't wait to see this flower at 12-15 ft tall!!!

LauraM sent printouts of each plant and they all arrived labeled and in great condition.

Can't get the pic to attach so I'll send this and try again.

Oh, how cool, shihtzumom! The box reminds me of the Fed Ex box from the movie Cast Away with Tom Hanks. It has a special imprint as did your gift box :)
