FANTABULOUS!! Is that a live critter on the lounge in the second picture? If so, what? If my porch/yard looked that nice I would be thrilled.

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

thanks leaflady..........it's a small condo yard but I try my best to fill it with plants.......lol
If you're talking about that butt that's sticking out in the second picture all the way on the left, that's peaches.......lol.........she's a minpin basenji mix and very nosy :)

Very cozy, gracious and inviting. Thank you for posting these. (Hi, Peaches!)

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

I'm always talking about how small my yard is and everyone keeps asking how in the world I have everything that I have in there so I thought I would post a picture of it........lol
thanks guys, makes me feel good to know that it's presentable.........lol

Sue it is really beautiful. I'll bet you enjoy sitting out there with Peaches nearby. What a lovely getaway.

Scotia, CA(Zone 9b)

Sue, I was just telling someone else how amazed I am at how many plants it is taking just to make my little yard start to look good. I figured I would be able to plant up maybe a dozen new plants to go with what I had in pots and it would be over crowded...LOL...1 pond and 40 new plants later I have just begun!

Small gardens offer different challanges but they can be fun and enjoyable. It looks to me that you have put your little garden to good use!

Mysore, India(Zone 10a)

Smaller gardens have nothing called permanent! so, you tend to keep changing things here and there because after a few months, the old set-up appears boring. Am I right? Small is also beautiful.

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

It's lovely Susan and very inviting but begs the question....where on earth are you going to plant the evening primroses I sent you.....hope it's in a large pot or it will take over your sweet space. :-)

Bark River, MI

This looked like a good place to share this picture - one small part of my backyard (we have 12 acres - but lots of it is cedar swamp!) I never know what this crazy cat is going to do, glad I had my camera handy... and no, there wasn't any water in the bird bath at the time!!

louisa, I put it in a big pot.........lol. I'll probably take some to my mom's. She has an area that needs to be taken over by something............lol

Dinu, yes, I get bored easily so I always change things :)

bitty1, I have two legs of the trellis, on the left, in pots on the deck, and the other two in the ground on the right............lol. It was the only way I was able to put it up. I got it at Big lots last year and had it absolutely covered with MG's last year. Doing the same thing this year. I just planted the MG's in the pot that has the legs in it...........lol. Big Lots has them for $5.99 this year, last year they were $9.99. Just left it 2 stakes shorter on the left so it would even out :)

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

weedwacker - that has to be one for a magazine....what a gorgeous cat and the surroundings. I have two cats now, lost one a few months ago. I also have a picture of my white cat, Patch, sitting in the bird table back home in England...I must find it and let you see!! lol!! Susan, so glad to hear you potted up the beast!! :-)

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

It's slowly coming to Louisa, it looks like it was drugged or something and is all hung over...........lol

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Susan there was more than one plant in the package!! Several in fact. Did you not divide them?? You will probably need to cut them back too and they should spring to life. Give them a little time....

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

They're already starting to look good Louisa, they just looked drunk when they got here..........lol. They had a hang over for a couple of days :)

Troy, VA(Zone 7a)

Sounds like me then - one whiff and I'm out for the count!! lol!! Glad to hear they are perking up!!

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

flow, it is lovely and very interesting to see such nice groupings of different plants together. That adds to the beauty of a small garden area. I find in mine that they are a bit too large sometimes to be able to take it all in.
I am a true believer there is always a place for just a wee bit more LOL!

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

definately always room for more..........lol. The hard thing is bringing most of it in in the winter......lol. I'll have the back sliding doors area covered and stuff in the basement under growing lights ;)

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Got the same problem here flow, more stuff than I can handle inside, oh well all for the "love of growing"!

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

I do have 3 birdfeeders going too :)

COLUMBIA, TN(Zone 6b)

What does lol stand for?

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

Laughing out loud = LOL

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

Lots of love, lots of laughs.......whatever fits in with the context of the message. It's a catch-all.

Helena, AL(Zone 7b)

Flowox, what a pretty yard! A great place to have a cup of coffee and just relax and that's what its all about.....Also, speaking of Birdhouses...I save all the lint from my dryer all winter then put it out for the birds in the spring to use in their nest. They actually fight over it!

Newark, OH(Zone 5a)

I'll have to do that with mine, I keep putting it in a box when I take the lint out of the dryer but hardly ever empty the darn thing.........lol..........guess I'll give it to the birds :)
