50,000 members!? Guess when...

I suspect by the time most read this, we will be pretty close. This is absolutely phenomenal. I wonder if any other non-selling site online has ever grown at this rate.

Tuesday is my guess.
I wonder if Dave has thought of rewarding the 50,000th member with something, like a free membership... Indeed it is phenomenal growth. When we see football matches on TV, the commentator says there are 50,000 spectators... Just picturize the scene! That is how many we will have on DG in a few hours from now.

By noon today the number should reach 50,000.

Definitely today! Probably before noon. 50,000 is a big number! We'll have to do something special to the big 50K member.

Now where do all the new members come from??? It's 50095 already! Gosh I didn't even realize how fast the amount of members is growing nowadays.

DG is such a great site, it makes me wish I was two people just so I could join twice!

June 2 is yet another landmark in the DG history! The no. of members clicked like the counter showing the births of babies in India or China!!! Well, almost like that ;} I thought it would be today, but I was far too slow in my thoughts!

Maybe you could join twice, Shoe. You can just claim to have a split personality. Course that would be more costly so it might be to your advantage to just share the onesubscription with your other self.

Ah, Shoe, you are so many things, it's as if you are several members all rolled into one. But if you paid twice, you would then have to post twice as often, and I might never get anything done.

I was offline all day because of thunderstorms, and to come back and see how fast this soared over the 50k mark was great. As always, I have mixed feelings about it, but only because I am usually hesitant to let things change. I always tell Granddarling I want to put a brick on her head so she will always be my sweet little baby, and it's sort of like that with DG.

Has anyone noticed, 1,000 new members have joined DG since Monday when the 50,000 mark was passed. Remarkable!

Shhhh, that would mean he would have to get a bunch of officers and stockholders and board members involved, and then we would have to wait for them to decide to agree enough to even change the title of a forum. I fervently hope DG never ever goes public. I know, you were making a funny, weren't you? Still, I flinch at the mention.
