So is it wrong on the DG screen? Or a test ?

I know some others have made it in - cuold it be because I use netscape instead of msn?

I just tried but was unable to view anything. The field to type a message was there and I tried to type but nothing appeared. Anyone else make it in?

I was in........had no problems. It lagged a bit at one time but that was about it

Chat doesn't open until 7

It said it was open could it be atime zone thang?

Flow and I were IM'ing back n forth and she suggested I totally shut down and then reboot. That worked.

well I'm sorry to say that it was open way before 7 as not just I was in chat but Evert, mystic, arsenic, philomel, tig, GW.........don't remember who else.........but it was definately open

I was in too and it was before 7, but had to leave and now it isn't there at all? Can't find it. Is it only open once in a while or what? I'm going to check and see if I can find the thread that talks about this I missed something somewhere. Tracy

tracy, after a certain time the link to chat closes and you can't get back in........I think it's around 10pm or so

tracy, if you leave your browser open when you go offline and leave it on the page where the chat logo is, you can get in after 10 but once you reload the page, it's gone

Well I don't know what I've done but I've lost the chat logo. It's not here anywhere. Maybe it'll be there tomorrow. Getting sleepy. Night all. Tracy

tracy, the chat logo is only there at 7pm on Tuesday nights and dissappears around 10pm and Thursday mornings but I'm not sure about the times. There's no chat any other times but those. I just meant that if you leave your browser open with the chat logo on Tuesday night when you do see it, then you can get in later on that night but that's it

Will the chat be available as a Tues evening event then or did I miss other days as well?

Chat was open an hour before usual last night, I popped in for a minute and then planned on checking in again when I got home, but time had a way of getting by and it was too late by the time I goton the computer.

I suspect Dave's new server doesn't know it's on Eastern Time instead of Texas Time :)

Anyhoo, for those new to DG, chat times are (normally) as follows:

Tuesday evenings 7 to 10 (ET)
Thursday mornings 7-10 am (ET)

If you do happen to have a DG screen with the chat logo still showing when it's past the shut-off time, you can *sometimes* get in, but if you wait too long, though, you'll get a message indicating the chatroom is closed.

Sorry I missed it (again!) but it's the last (frantic!0 week of school for my kids, and then we're heading out of town for a few days at the beach, so I'm busier than the proverbial one-armed paper hanger. Hopefully next week I'll be able to pop in and see what everybody's been up to!

Too funny! I dropped in around 11:30 p.m. Eastern time and they were still chatting away! I stayed for a few minutes, but had to get to bed. The other alternative was to have DH chatting in my ear while I tried to chat with the group left in the chat room. I can multi-task, but not that well!

Wellll, TECHNICALLY we were chatting, but it was kinda quiet, me suspects most of us were nodding, fighting sleep like little kids who dont wanna have to go to bed "yet". BUt it was enjoyable last nite, Hi Sparkie, thanks again for protecting our co untry in WWII !
