A Child from Heaven

St. Louis, MO(Zone 6b)

A woman told me this story this morning and I want to share it with you:
A four year old girl kept asking her mother to let her be alone for a few minutes with her new baby brother who was two months old. The mother granted her wish but wanted to watch from a distance to make sure nothing happened to the baby. The little girl entered the room and in a soft voice said to her baby brother, "You left heaven just a short while ago. Tell me what it was like. I left four years ago and I'm beginning to forget."

Padre, I asked both my granddaughters that the first minute I held them. I told them to never forget what it was like. But they will... for a while.

Wow...does that bring tears to my eyes or what???? Especially with a grandbaby coming very soon!

What a wonderful thought, thank you Padre for sharing. On the other end of the spectrum, I have always wanted to ask someone I have known near death to say hello to my mom and dad.I remember my parish priest once told me how he had done this to a man he knew (saying hello to his own father who had died a year previously)

Springfield, MA(Zone 6a)

padre, that is incredibly beautiful. i had never heard that before and tears are in my eyes. thank you from my heart debi z
