Finally heard from member Skyeblu

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

I finally got an email from her this a.m. She was in Stockton, MO, her town was just about flattened. She wrote:

It's been quite the experience. We were in the storm cellar when the
tornado hit Stockton, watching the storm on TV, when the power went out
about 6:30 pm. We didn't even know Stockton had been hit until several
hours later when DH found a news broadcast on our radio.

We were without electricity for about one day, and the phone service was
just restored just this Monday evening. We had only cell phone service here
(and it was spotty at best).

All of us here are fine. We were about 8 miles north of the storm path, so
we didn't get any damage or debris here, although my sister-in-law who lives
a mile south of us had a piece of metal fall into her front yard out of the
sky. (Wow)

Until I get a chance to get
online, let everyone else know we're OK!

Thanks for letting us know. 8 miles still sounds too close when you're talking about a whole town being flattened. Skyeblu, we miss you, check in when you can.

Thank you for posting, Lisa. I am so glad to hear that Skyeblu and her loved ones are okay.
