Tonasket, WA(Zone 5a)

Dave that is a great article. i sent it to my daughter. I want to subscribe for her. Can you email me the correct way to do that. She loves to garden, and i know she would get so much from DG. Donna, I must leave and go to bed. I have been out in the garden most of the day and I'm dead.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

That lady gave a lot of juicy details about the functionality of the features at DG and your other sites, Dave - nice to see something more than a simple blurb from someone!

Rutholive, you'll have to create a new membername/password for your daughter, then go to the subscriptions page at http://www.davesgarden.com/subpreferences.php to pay for a gift subscription for her. You'll have a chance to put in her newly-created membername there.

By the way, Dave -- the credit card payment link at https://davesgarden.com/subscribe/index.php comes up as "page cannot be displayed" right now. The PayPal link seems to be working okay. I was poking around in there while I composed this post.

Cullman, AL(Zone 7a)

A great article, a true article!! And to think we are all a part of this wonderful site. Congratulations Dave, Trish and Terry. You deserve this accolade!! Like Shoe, I am also tickled pink!!

Thanks for the kind words - I was indeed shocked to see such a positive article in this big newspaper. The reporter told me that it was the paper with the largest print circulation in New Jersey.

I talked to her on the phone in mid to late April and answered her questions. We only spoke for about 10 minutes. She really turned that into a very nice article - what an outstanding advertisement for DG!

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

You bet Dave!!! It is indeed great to see your had work layed out like that. Of course we know how wonderful Dave's is, it's nice to see outsiders praise it as well. I hope we generate some new members from it.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

I wrote to compliment her on the article, and when she replied, she said really enjoyed talking to you, Dave. She also said, "I've been a fan of plantsbymail and
garden watchdog for some while, since I can't seem to keep my hands off those catalogs. Stop her before she plants again!"

Sounds like our kind of gardener! ;)

Have you seen any spike of member sign-ups from NJ following its publication?

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

I wondered the same thing GW.

Actually, we haven't had a spike (well, maybe a downward spike) because the server crashed the same day that the article came out. :-(

dave

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

You know how it is when you are in the middle of something and can't really tell if it's as you see it or if you have some bias because of your close proximity? I always feel like that when I tell people about DG and the people involved. This article confirms what I thought I knew, there is something great at work here.

Newark, OH(Zone 5b)

Spoken like a true New Yorker, Adam! ;) I can't say much, having grown up near Chi-town.

Milo, IA(Zone 5a)

Hey Dave: The article is wonderful. I do think it is just the beginning of bigger things to come, more subscriptions that is.
