thumbnails

To save bandwidth, I just removed the thumbnail pictures from the thread view - you now have to enter the thread to view the pictures (this is for the photos, identification, brugs, etc forums).

It may help the server be a little more responsive.

Let's make a paper chain - 6 more days (counting today) till the new server!! :)

Is it a new server or are you going back to your old server? The one that worked so beautifully before. I miss the old daves, I'm going through withdrawal. I'm getting way too much done around the house and it's setting a bad precedent. Someone might expect me to keep doing all this household stuff. LOL

Back to the old server (mostly) with a little bit of new hardware. I tested this box VERY well before sending it to Knoxville, and am quite confident in it. Let's all hope it goes well!

LOL, Liz! Don't work too hard, girl. I know exactly what you mean, though; I've gotten quite a bit done around home myself.

We are all counting the days. Thanks again for your diligent efforts Dave. Would it help if we each limited our posting (of photos) until then???

And we shouldnt all get on at the same instant...we wouldnt want it to crash from too many simultaneous hits.

And heck, I am getting a lot done just wandering around the house while waiting for a new screen to come up! Hubby even had dinner ON TIME last nite! He might get spoiled if this
keeps up!

It will be nice when it's up and running, Dave. Things have been so slow lately, and half the time, I just plain can't get the site at all.
I can't imagine how much of a headache running forums and websites must be!
