Well my grandson finally got this season started. He broke his right wrist and missed the first three games and really hasn't gotten up to speed until tonight. He had a bad first inning giving up two hits and 3 runs because of some errors. But starting in the second inning he struck out 14 of the next 15 batters. The other out was a que shot off the end of the bat to the first baseman. They won 6-3.
The team he beat was in first place with a 7-1 record. After the first inning the rest of the team could have gone home. His coach said it was one of the best performances he ever witnessed.
He struck out 15 of the 18 outs recorded.

He also plays on a traveling team and hit a grandslam homerun to help beat a team that was underfeated two werekends ago. That qualified them for The World Tournament in Kansas City later this summer.

Ain't it great to have kid's and grandkid's that make you proud.

Good to hear that your grandson is back in the swing of things. He done a wonderful job. Best of luck to them in the upcoming tournament.

It's wonderful being grandparents.

Jim, that's great!! give him my congrats! I hope you didn't get flooded out. Sounds like y'all found a dry enough place to play at least.

GRC, I know you were excited and I bet he was too. I get so nervous when I watch them play.

Jim, I wouldn't be surprised if your grandson is playing for a major league team someday - he is so talented. I bet you were as proud as a peacock, or should I say peacock plant? ;o) I hope his team makes it to the tournament in KC this summer. Will you be going if they do?

Well, yes I will be going if the peacock season is over by then. LOL I'll try to get enough for you a hat. LOL
