is bandwidth fixed

Newnan, GA(Zone 8a)

the site is flying like old times here. Is it because I'm the only one on, or is it fixed??

You are just in at a good time, tiG.
Don't expect any changes in the current situation for weeks. :(

Hang in there everyone.

Yes sometimes I can get on and sometimes I can't but right now, I can get on.

The plant data base appears to be still off line. I wonder if it just got too big, it is big and getting bigger, which is wonderful. Would a large size cause it consume more band width, or does just heavy traffic lead to that?

I use to get these messages, that would say, this site has gone over its band width due to heavy traffic, even if the site was very small. These were people's personal websites for anime not Daves garden.

would never not hang in!! Thanks Trish!!

Thank you for that information, Trish, it's good to know what to realistically expect -- DG is almost inaccessible for me at times now, and almost never works on IE any longer (lost posts, screen freezes, etc.). Like tiG, I wouldn't dream of not hanging in -- this is really an online family, and I'm so appreciative of you, Dave, tiG and Terry, and all that you do to make uplifting discourse possible.

I've found that when it seems to freeze, hit the stop button and try again. Almost always works like a charm.

Bonnie, that's exactly what I do. It's been working most of the time. Oddly enough, I also have to do it on other sites lately, so I wasn't sure if it was the old slow computer I'm using or the whole web crashing. I discovered that trick by accident, and would have never thought it would work.

tiG and Aimee, thank you. This works some of the time, and that's a boon!
