Can't post photos

I can't post photos either
Spent a very frustrating hour last night and gave it up. No error message - just when I click on preview or send it tries but never makes it, often then jumping to the site unavailable screen

Ooooh take it all back
Everything running much faster this morning thanks Dave and I posted photos!!

I have tried several times today to post a pic to the Photo forum and everytime I click preview, it sits there for a few minutes then it says "web site not responding" or something like that? Is it just me?? I mean I know DG is having problems and all but I thought I read somewhere that Dave said we could keep the pictures coming. Was I reading something totally different??

I can't post a pic either, Molly!

Mollybee,

What Dave was saying is that the pictures that are already on DG don't much effect the bandwidth outgo. However, if you are uploading a picture to DG when the server is already very loaded and crowded, you could run into the server timing out before the picture is successfully uploaded. In which case, just try again.

I know it is frustrating for you.....however, just to put it into another light for ya...Only DG is slow to you. All of the internet is slow for us. We're fighting with all of you all trying to get into our house while we're trying to get out *grin*

Trish, what a cool way to put it!

I'm still laughing.

Thanks so much for the explanation Trish. Yes, I find it impossible at times, and then it'll go smoothly and quickly at others - eg now, when it's the middle of the night for you :)

Do hope things improve for you soon

Thanks Trish! That is a good way to put it.
I'll just hold off for awhile.

I haven't been able to post a picture, and most of the time can't get the enlarged one when I click the thumbnail. Trish, your explanation is very good. I had just pictured Dave trying to super glue Humpty Dumpty back together again. Not everything works yet but I'm glad to be able to get here at all. Thanks Dave, keep smiling!

That explains why I have proplems in daytime but not at night when most of the world is asleep :~) Being a night owl pays off at last!
