TiG and family are OK. I just talked to her on the phone. She has no internet connection so she can't post. She said there's more storms heading her way this afternoon.Saying prayers here for all in the storms path.

Mableton, GA(Zone 7b)

Good news. Of course without the internet and Daves she may go completely insane and there may be damage down in Newnan after all. lol

Gosh, I just thought about it...with all those high winds, I hope all her brugs are okay. Yikes, I've seen how tall they all are and I know they were all outside now.

I'm back!! brugs are fine, I'm fine and thankfully we had power. I don't know what our 2 year old would have done without it! LOL!!
ground is saturated, I pray we don't get anymore high winds, the trees around us are all over 50ft tall, and I'd hate to be looking at them on the ground. I haven't seen the news yet, but I think we all got off very lucky considering.
hoping everyone else dodges the bad stuff this spring.

who might be in Oklahoma City and around?? hope everyone up there is safe

Paducah, KY(Zone 6a)

Paducah checking in. We also spent some nights in the hallways.
We live more in a valley so it helps out when the weather gets
this way. Good friends of ours which live in Massac County Il. got hit with one that back tracked and hit them twice. They
had a basment so that is where they stayed until rescue workers
could walk them out. Spent the next day with them cleaning up.
I have never seen anything like it. Am praying for all those who have endured this bad weather and hope all safe.

Im praying for eveyone too-these storms just wont go away!!!
michigan is getting hit hard today down by paulgrow this morning and the midwest is still getting hammered by the tornados.
THIS IS CRAZY-enough is enough.
I saw that chattanoga is under water and other states are flooded too!!!
what a shame!

Laurel, DE(Zone 7a)

Praying here that all are safe and sound. This weather pattern has just Got to Stop!

Benton, KY(Zone 7a)

I think we are finally in the clear for awhile. We survived with no damage here, but there are many families who are nearby who have no homes.

There was one story told on the news of a couple and their son who got in their bathtub and covered up with a matress. They felt the house lift up when the tornado hit.Now this was a site built house...not a mobile home! When it came down, water started pouring in ,so they scrambled out and found the house had landed in a pond. This pond was about a football field away from where their house stood,so the house flew that far before it came down. The only injury was to the little boy,he had a broken wrist, but the dad thought it may have been broken by them laying on top of him to keep him safe.

This is just the tip of the iceberg as far as local storm stories go.About 100 miles in all directions around us is pretty much devastated.

North Vancouver, BC(Zone 8a)

We met a couple in Mexico, on our holiday who had just built a home in Indiana, and had yet to move in! Is this state ok, as far as tornadoes go? Elaine

Toadsuck, TX(Zone 7a)

Leaflady is in the OKC area........storms still moving over OK and into KSC and St. Louis areas. Hopefully by the weekend most of the storms will be gone.

Another one came through this morning, about 3:30. We saw the area hit the hardest (about 5 miles NE of us), where 20 homes were hit, and four were completely flattened. I'm hearing reports that we're in for another few nights of this...

Bodrum, Turkey(Zone 10a)

Terry, I heard your town mentioned in the news while I was cooking, my back was turned to the TV so I didnt catch the visual, and didnt really catch much of the story. I hope you are ok.

Georgetown, TX(Zone 8a)

This is just unbelievable! I know there are some tornadoes every year, and usually some damage, but I can't remember ever seeing so much tornadic activity in a single spring. It follows the weird winter, which was blamed on El Nino, can't remember how to make the Spanish n, but I thought he was history and La Nina was supposed to have started. That little rascal has really been having a ball with weather across the country.

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

No one has heard from Skyeblu, her home town was devestated with the first tornado. I've emailed her, but still haven't gotten an answer. I sure wish someone knew if she is alright. I am so worried.

Lisa, this article says the electricity hasn't been restored yet there.....it will probably be some time until she can get back online. For now, we will keep her in our prayers.

Thanks for the news eyes - hope all is well and can come back to us soon.

Brewers, KY(Zone 6b)

Thank you Eyes, I am keeping her in my prayers. I hope she knows we are all thinking about her.

Tulsa, OK(Zone 6b)

Eyes, Green_Leaf is in Catoosa, that's close to Tulsa, not OKC. I'm in a little town west of Tulsa, and she's just about as far east of Tulsa. These last storms mellowed as they came up the turnpike, and weren't too bad by the time they got here. We got some hail, and I saw one building that was damaged about a half mile from our house, but that was all.
