Horrid Horrid Storm Damage!!!!!

Well Folks, we had a hail storm blow through earlier and you wouldn't believe it. All my water plants and hostas look like someone put them through a shredder or cut them up with scissors. The impatience have no leaves left. The lotus broke off so it's probably dead. So I'm walking around, looking at all the damage, and I sit down and have a good cry and then I thought, what in the world are you crying about vic...we're fine, the pets are fine, the house is fine, and the plants will come back next year. It really is sad to look at though. The other good news is that all my seedlings are still in the ground and didn't get washed or blown away or hammered with the ice balls.

Vic I am so glad you are okay!! I am sorry about your plants though. :( It is hard to see all your hard work get trashed. Anything I can send you? ((((Vic))))

Hey toots...thanks for the hugs..nah...I'm fine. Just whining and venting LOL...I have more plants than I know what to do with anyway. The other good news is that Lupinelover sent me some hostas and they were potted up and ready to go in the ground. I had all the pots in the wheelbarrow and decided I better wait out the storm so the wheelbarrow went into the garage. So, those hostas are fine! But I thank you for the offer dear friend. Take care...

Oh, I am so sorry to hear of the devastation of your plants. I understand your feelings -- they are not things, but living beings you've tended lovingly for a long time! And I'm very, very glad that you and your family and pets are fine, praise God for that. God bless you all!

(((( Vic ))))) and I was going to quick send you some replacements! You and your family's safety is of course prime. But I understand the heart-ache about the loss of beloved plants. Can I send you anything else to help you recover? I think it might even be safe to send a few tender things, at least down to you.

Keep the faith!!!

I'm so sorry Vic, it's always devestating when something like this happens. On the bright side though, it may be early enough in the season for your plants to recover? I sure hope so.

Hugs,
Joan

Well bless your hearts dear friends...we had another horrible storm yesterday afternoon and and lost electric for 15 hours. We went into town last evening for supper and the damage along the way was unbelieveable. So many old mature trees literally pulled out of the ground. It was awful. And again, God has blessed us with safety for us, the pets, and our home and outbuildings. They are predicting these kinds of storms for the next week. Please keep us all in your prayers.

((((vic)))) I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles.
Hang in there....

Oh, Vic, I just went through this myself. I large limb broke off and smashed a bunch of my plants. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with it. It's so frustrating.

I guess it's just a gentle reminder that everything we have really doesn't belong to us anyway. Everything we have and everything we are belongs to God.
